an evening out with rachel and her boys – boulder family photography

Rachel and her family are new to the Boulder area and wanted to do their photography session in a spot that showed off the mountains. Where better than South Mesa Trailhead? It’s such a gorgeous spot and to top it off it’s also an amazing place to adventure and play! Her two little boys seemed to agree. We got to know each other a bit while we played by the water, and then headed up to the fields. We had so much fun! Her boys definitely had more energy than me, but I mostly managed to keep up and got a ton of photographs with wonderful laughs and smiles. Enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together.
